The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) aims to help educate people about the cruelty that animals experience in the world of tourist attractions, such as elephant riding and posing with animals for photos. At WFFT visitors are offered the chance to see over 450 rescued animals at the Wildlife Rescue Centre, in a responsible way, free of cruelty and without suffering. You will learn about wildlife conservations and animal welfare. WFFT organizes full and half day experience trips but also extended volunteer stays. There are a number of wild animal sanctuaries managed by The Wildlife Friends Foundation, including an elephant refuge, a bear rescue center as well as Gibbon rehabilitation center. On these trips you will walk with an elephant, give her a shower, and learn about their behavior. Moreover, you?ll get to see bears and monkeys enjoy their meals. You even have the opportunity to stay a night at the ?I-Love-Phants Lodge?. The Wildlife Rescue Center is only open to visitors who made an appointment or booked a daytrip. Fees paid support the running costs of the Wildlife Rescue Centre and Elephant Refuge.
